Bachus, more formally the honorable lord Baron von Bachus is painter and sculptor located in Los Angeles, California. His art creates vibrant, Suess-like worlds that explore themes of religion, compulsion, and obsession. With  his sardonic characters he calls "fauns", Bachus uses storytelling to elicite odd emotion and eerie wonder. He pulls from historical religious masterworks and pop culture for inspiration in what he describes as "an expression of indulgence."

 

Born Kalon Fowler in Little Rock, Arkansas, he attended Memphis College of Art graduating with Bachelors in Fine Art and Art History. During and after college Bachus attended art and architectural residences in Rome and Scotland. He accredits both with shaping the way he approaches and develops ideas. 

Bachus is currently a permanent resident at the The Brewery Arts Complex in Downtown, Los Angeles.
